A parliamentary committee from India has recently addressed the unfavorable decisions made by the United States against India during a meeting with a delegation of American lawmakers. This delegation, consisting of five members from the Democratic Party, has been critical of President Donald Trump's policies.
Shashi Tharoor, the chair of the parliamentary committee on external affairs, stated after the meeting that committee members questioned why the Indian-American diaspora has remained silent on these issues. Some members of the delegation, led by Ami Bera, also contributed to the discussion, with a few being of Indian descent.
Tharoor emphasized, "We discussed why the Indian-American community has been so quiet on this matter." He added, "It is essential for us to engage with the Indian-American community and convey that if you care about your ties to your homeland, you must also advocate for it and exert pressure on your political representatives to stand with India."
